We are a Firewise Community -- How YOU Can Reduce Wildfire Risks
We are a Firewise Community.
We make no secret about the remote nature of our community.
Our positioning and density in this beautiful, heavily forested area affords us a unique quality of life with unparalleled recreational opportunities. It also demands certain responsibilities of us all. The Firewise Community certification is one of the ways we are balancing the rewards of living here with the risks.
During our recent Firewise inspection, we talked about providing some documentation to the community about fire safety and preventing fires. We have identified an excellent resource from the
National Fire Protection Association / Firewise.org
that touches on nearly all of the ways you can ensure your home is well protected in the event of a wildfire threat.
